Pistachio Green: The Colour Of SS20

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

For years now, green has, for the most part, has been rejected by the fashion industry, but in the past year, we have seen a plethora of shades dominating the runway and the high street.  Last year, we saw the emergence of Slime Green, but we are are now welcoming its softer, pastel sister: Pistachio Green. It can seem like quite a daunting colour to invest in; I myself didn't really know how I was going to style it when I ordered a few pieces last month, so I hope that with this post I can inspire you to give it a chance.

In my wardrobe

I know we're on lockdown, but is that any reason not to lounge around the house in a green pantsuit? I don't think so. Here, I've paired an oversized blazer with the matching wide-leg trousers. Throw on some chunky trainers for a day of shopping in the city or a pair heeled mules for a night on the town.

This has been one of my most worn outfits this spring. The wide-leg trousers from the two-piece and this graphic tee. The Renoir painting has little touches of green that coordinate with pistachio really well. I've also worn this t-shirt with jeans and the pistachio blazer.

This look can easily be dressed up or dressed down. I cinched this pistachio green shirt dress in at the waist with leather belt from the jacket which I wore over the top. I finished the look off with this Y2K slim rectangle shades.

Mules are also a huge trend this summer so these gorgeous heeled sandals with the braid detail are perfect.

This '90s shoulder bag is gorgeous. I've had my eye on it for a while now.

These are handmade from polymer clay in Staffordshire and they are absolutely beautiful and so affordable.
